Who'd have believed it?

Well I am now entering WEEK 3!
I can quite honestly say that most diets I do rarely enter the 3rd digit, so I am rather pleased that I have not succumbed to the chocolate, red wine and cheese!
I am off out this weekend, so deciphering what is going to be the tipple of choice....it will have to contain diet coke.....and what? ( some investigating needs to be done)
Setting out my menu for the week, and this week see's the appearance of the dreaded skimmed milk! Going to give it a bash and hope that it pays dividends on the scales on Saturday.
MONDAY MENU
BF: Cheerios with milk Skimmed
LUNCH : Ham wrap with salad cream
DINNER : (Feeling lazy) Tortilla pizza with tomato puree, ham, onion, red peppers, grape and grated cheese.
SNACKS : 2 X Oatie biscuits, clemetine, banana,  grapes

Exercise Update

I believe really strongly in the case that dieting is never enough without a good dose of exercise.
I have decided that the only way I can truly get exercise into my daily regime is to turn my home into my gym! So, with the help of my Davina McCall DVD (Which is AMAZING), Zumba Fit on the Wii and some jogging around my local area I think I can get the full body workout I need.
I also play netball once a week with some of the Mum's from my son's school.....so the social side of my exercise is also covered. It is always nice to do at least one thing in a team...or at least with a few friends as it will give you more motivation to continue (even if you're having a bad day.
Yesterday was netball night, we played a team from Malvern......who were all Premier League players.....and as a team that have only just got back into netball.....you can imagine we got beaten, or rather thrashed! The final score was 25-5! I was absolutely pooped by the end of the game, so a job well done in my eyes! (Better luck next week)

Vital Statistics

Ok, so the start of my journey was Saturday 5th Jan 2013.

My parents had given me some money for Christmas and I decided that along with a shiny  new hoover I would buy myself some weighing scales!!!!.....

Got home with my new purchases and decided that it was time to stand on the scales of doom! ?.....It was Doomsday.....14 stone 4 lbs.....'JEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZ that isn't good.

So the start of my journey began.

I know people have differing vices when it comes to food, mine are bread, pasta, potatoes..basically any kind of carbs! Also partial to a bit of chocolate, cheese and wine too....oh, and the odd Corona or three! So food needs an overhaul!

Exercise. ?..as a former A Level Phys Ed student it pains me to say that I am unfit.....Shamelessly I have neglected this once fit body by eating and drinking and lazing my way to the size I am now....I needed to find something to do that I could do at home and in the late evenings. I do not have the luxury of having time to go to the gym and my husband works till 8pm most nights, so running and the Davina McCall DVD I bought a few years ago (but never used) are the exercises of choice.

Wishme luck!

Why?

So, this is how the story goes......

I am a married lady of 35 and have 2 lovely boys who are 5 and 2 years old.

As with most Mummy's the word 'diet' is mentioned on a regular basis, and the promise of starting one and sticking to it is all too common. I am one of those people, but I figured that I would really commit to it this time, and create a blogg to see me through.

I hope that this blogg may inspire some other people in the same position as me to realise you aren't alone and although it may be difficult it is possible.
